Flying cars fit cyberpunk like a gorilla’s fist on a cybernetic eye. But the fact that we ourselves take a seat behind the wheel of a flight vehicle is something Cyberpunk 2077 is still missing – at least from the official side. Because thanks to a mod, players can easily fulfill this community wish themselves. We provide you with the most important information.
It’s not the first time Cyberpunk 2077 fans have helped themselves. For example, one mod provides vehicle combat from cars or motorcycles, while another even provides a working subway network:

Yes, Cyberpunk 2077 actually already has flying cars. However, we are not allowed to personally control them, but instead only play the co-driver in the course of a handful of scripted sequences. Here comes the project of the modder Jack Humbert to use, who makes his work available for free download.
What does the mod deliver? With the courage Let there be Flight
every car and motorcycle from Cyberpunk 2077 becomes airworthy. This means that you can switch between flying and driving at any time behind the wheel of a vehicle. At the push of a button, tires are retracted or extended again in the course of a separate animation.
Controlling works with mouse and keyboard as well as with the controller. If you are not satisfied with the standard layout, you can even customize the key assignments using an XML file.
By the way, if you are behind the wheel of Johnny Silverhands Porsche 911 Turbo or the Quadra Type-66 Cthulhu

How does the installation work? You can do the mod Download for free on GitHub. Once you have unzipped the files, simply move them to your Cyberpunk 2077 installation folder – done. If you want to be on the safe side, you can find instructions at minute 04:47 in the video linked above.
What’s next for Cyberpunk 2077?
Most recently, Patch 1.5 brought Cyberpunk 2077 numerous improvements and even new content. For example, four new apartments that V can afford. A lot has also happened with the skill trees and perks and we can even get an iguana as a companion for the hairless cat Nibbles. How exactly Cyberpunk 2077 will continue is currently unknown. All we know is that CD Projekt Red is working on the planned story addon while the chances for a Transmog-System stand pretty well. As soon as new information appears, we will of course let you know.
