Console ports are also introducing new features, with the Xbox Series X and PS5 versions getting full 60FPS and 4k support, and the PS5 also getting some support for DualSense adaptive triggers. The Xbox, PS5, and PC versions of the game will also add voice chat, and most importantly, PC players will experience advanced graphics settings and optimized support for keyboard and mouse.
Whether you’re trying the game out for the first time through something like Game Pass or planning to replay it, it seems like Capcom has gone the extra mile to improve the player experience with this port. Don’t forget, the game will include all previously released updates and quests up to version 10, giving you the chance to take on quests themed around Street Fighter, Ogami, and even Mega Man.
The only bad news is that if you wanted to switch your save from PC to your shiny PS5, you unfortunately can’t. Monster Hunter Rise will not support cross-save, nor cross-play between consoles or generations. The only exception is that PS4 and PS5 players will be able to cross-play with each other.
Monster Hunter Rise will be available on January 20, 2023, and can be pre-ordered now or played with an Xbox Game Pass subscription at launch. Will you replay this game in 2023, or check it out for the first time?
