CapcomThe latest Monster Hunter title – Brilliant monster hunter rises – finally on PC. We’ve noticed that games are (almost in every way) better on PC than on Nintendo Switch. But we know that you are a discerning bunch and our words are worthless if you can’t see the evidence for yourself. So Dorrani and I put together a video for you that showcases the various ways the latest entry in the Veteran franchise stands out in the original Switch release in 2021.
As you can see in the video above, there are some notable factors that make this game even better on PC; for starters, the Switch version is capped at 30FPS. The net result is that the game is much smoother when faced with a nice, smooth infinite cap (!) on PC. One that responds very well to your crazy input. It feels even more fair when you’re about to be incarnated by Apex Azuros.
I can’t speak for Dorrani in the video above, but I’ve also been playing 4K games on my PC device — something no iteration of the Switch hardware can do, even if it wants to. This led to some incredible moments. It’s worth noting that last night I fainted for the first time in the hands of a Bishaten while playing this version of the game. I was busy gazing at its milky fur with such soft, velvety details that I was drawn to it like a big stupid moth drawn to a roaring flame.
After a few seconds, BOOM. Hit the ground by a nimble fruit missile. Cart time.

Whether you’re wandering around on Wirebug, dodging the mighty Rathalos fireball, or just hanging out in Kamura Village and soaking up the idyllic atmosphere, Monster Hunter Rise will feel better in all its bells and whistles up to 11.
As Dorrani pointed out, in this version, you can’t just take your PC out and do some collection tasks on the toilet (shhh), but I’d make a trade-off between quality and portability in this game, especially.
Monster Hunter Rise is coming to PC on January 12, 2022 with updated armor sets and armor sets related to Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, Okami, Street Fighter, Mega Man 11, Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection and non-Capcom Sonic Weapon hedgehog.
