Gaming News Monster Hunter Wilds: Capcom announces a new pre-release beta coming in a few weeks
Next month Capcom will release its new video game steamroller: Monster Hunter Wilds promises to be a big deal and the company wants to put all the odds on its side with an announced new beta.
The hunt continues
Capcom can boast of having several geese that lay golden eggs, and one of the most advantageous is called Monster Hunter: it's quite simple, the World Opus is simply the best-selling game in its history, while the Rise episode is not far behind. Both titles are now starting to show their age and it's time to give them a new coat of paint, and a very thick one: Monster Hunter Wilds launches on February 28, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series… and the schedule promises to be busy.
This new title can be played online alone or with four players and takes us to the Forbidden Lands, a still unexplored region that houses a huge open worldwith varied biomes and, above all, numerous monsters to hunt. Gameplay will gain depth and feature a focus mode that complements normal attacks and guards, while the environment will benefit from a varied and unpredictable weather climate that can change the course of a game. At least that's what Capcom promises and is announcing the most sophisticated experience in the history of the franchise.
A beta for better preparation
Since it is always good to accept the opinions of the players in a project of this size, Capcom announces this a second beta that will take place over two weekends:
- The first is organized by February 7th (4 a.m.) to February 10th (4 a.m.)
- The second is organized by February 14th (4 a.m.) to February 17th (4 a.m.)
In a special video, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto (who also created a character that looks exactly like him) explains that this new beta will be more of a new version of the first. So we will find similar content there, but with technical improvements, balancing and the new monster Gypceros that we can now hunt. By the way, note that by participating in the beta you will receive some bonuses in the final game, which, as we remind you, will be available on February 28th.
