Monster Hunter Wilds — Over 10 Million Copies Sold in Just One Month
Capcom was serious about its confidence in the game’s success. The latest entry in the Monster Hunter franchise has quickly become one of the company’s best-selling titles.
The question of whether Monster Hunter Wilds will surpass Monster Hunter World seems less like speculation and more like an inevitability, as sales continue to rise at an impressive pace.
At the beginning of March, we reported that Monster Hunter Wilds made history by selling 8 million copies in just three days, setting a new all-time record for Capcom. But there was still more to come.
On March 31, 2025, Capcom announced via an official statement that as of March 28, Monster Hunter Wilds has surpassed 10 million copies sold worldwide.
The game introduced a dynamic and dangerous world, filled with formidable creatures and stunning visuals powered by Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine.
Cross-Platform Play and Expanding the Franchise
Additionally, cross-platform play allows players to team up regardless of their chosen platform, making the experience more accessible and engaging.
Capcom has made it clear that this is “just the beginning of the next generation of Monster Hunter” and that success will not deter them from continuing to push forward.
“All of this has led to a record-breaking first month for the company, with over 10 million units sold,” an achievement that is impressive by any measure.
First Update Brings New Content
The first update for Monster Hunter Wilds introduced a new hub, additional monsters, and an exciting surprise that has thrilled fans.
Capcom remains committed to meeting player expectations by leveraging its development expertise, according to the company’s official statement.
With this bold new direction, Monster Hunter Wilds aims to attract a broader audience, expanding the franchise’s reach.
With these sales figures, the game is now Capcom’s seventh best-selling title, just behind Resident Evil Village.
