Xbox’s new spearhead, Game Pass, regularly welcomes new games. Between AAA and indies, gamers are already busy, but Microsoft could be coming out with big cartridges soon.
According to the latest rumor, three Call of Duty games could soon end up on Microsoft’s subscription service.
Call of Duty soon in Game Pass?
Microsoft appears to be preparing heavy artillery for Game Pass. Since acquiring Activision Blizzard Studios, the Redmond-based company has inflated its games catalog with hugely popular titles, including the Call of Duty series. When the acquisition was announced, the idea of seeing a selection of the license’s emblematic titles arrive on the game subscription service touched more than one mind, including obviously Xbox’s.
The green brand might try to create a surprise by adding a selection of Call of Duty games to its flagship service soon. At least that’s what new clues unearthed directly in Game Pass suggest.
A Microsoft bug?
In fact, several users noticed the appearance of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare Remastered and Black Ops Cold War in the application in a special section. Even more surprisingly, these three installments are hidden in the Xbox Game Pass Deals category without any promotions or discounts applied. Enough to fuel the craziest speculation, all things considered, of course.
The three Call of Duty games aren’t the only ones on the list. You can also find Diablo 2 and a certain Resident Evil Village that has been the subject of persistent rumors lately. Corridor rumors quickly denied by Major Nelson himself, who confirmed it was a Microsoft Store bug. It is possible that the CoD is the same and that it is a new blunder. Now we just have to wait for an official response from Microsoft to find out what’s going on.
