Warner Bros. Games today announced MultiVersus, a new free to play platform fighting game. Teams of two from legendary characters and universes compete against each other in duels. The MultiVersus, developed by Player First Games, is due to appear in 2022 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC and offers full crossplay support, dedicated server-based rollback network code, seasons full of content and an ever-expanding cast. The list of characters you can mess with in the game is long and comes from pretty much every Warner universe. Some examples? Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn (DC Super Heroes & DC Super-Villains); Shaggy (Scooby-Doo); Bugs Bunny (Looney Tunes); Arya Stark (Game of Thrones); Tom and Jerry; Dog Jake and Finn (Adventure Time); Steven Universe and Garnet (Steven Universe); a special new character named Reindog and many more.
The fights rely on cooperative play and there are numerous synergies between the moves of the characters. Clever team compositions can therefore be the key to success. Direct 1-on-1 duels up to 4-player FFAs can be played.
