Paramount+ will be no exception to the rule: it too is preparing to become more expensive, at least in the United States. From August 20, 2024, The Paramount+ Essential plan (with ads) increases from $6 to $8 per month. The ad-free package with Showtime, the most expensive package with new programs, will increase from $12 to $13 per month. Only the middle formula doesn’t change the price. Note that the annual cost of Paramount+ also doesn’t change, regardless of the formula.
In fact, Paramount+ will be as expensive as Disney Plus and Peacock in the US. But above all This makes Netflix the cheapest VOD platform on the market, as the ad-free offering costs $7 per month. This despite the fact that Netflix has increased the prices of its other plans in recent years.
