Netflix just made an announcement that’s already making people happy. The Berserk series, considered by fans to be the best adaptation, arrives in France.
Cult manga that inspired many works, including Darks Souls, Berserk obviously went through the anime box. Not everyone agreed, but one of the most popular is finally returning and on Netflix.
The best berserk anime is coming to Netflix
It’s a monument of manga and dark fantasy arriving on Netflix. While the work of mangaka Kentarô Miura began its renaissance with a revival in the columns of Young Animal magazine, the Berserk: The Golden Age Memorial Edition trilogy of films is being carried out in an animated series. In the meantime, the curious and fans alike can (re)discover one, if not the best adaptation of the manga.
The 1997 anime Berserk will indeed be available on the famous SVOD platform from January 1stis December in France. An adaptation not to be confused with 2016’s, which received very mixed or even savage reviews. This series of 25 episodes of 24 minutes each traces the events of volumes 4 to 13 without covering the story of volume 11 which introduces a specific Wyald.
Meanwhile, a mysterious countdown continues. Is it related to this ad? It doesn’t seem. The official website of the Berserk anime actually seems to be announcing a big reveal for December 11th. The theories are numerous and seem to point to a new animation project. To be continued… We remind you that the film trilogy adapted from the manga is still available on Netflix.
