Many of us know the dilemma: you need a new car, compared to endless purchase offers with tempting leasing deals, and suddenly the big question is in the room. Why should I spend thousands of dollars on a car purchase if there is a chic VW SUV from 149 dollars a month? The answer is amazingly simple and convinced more and more drivers: Leasing can keep you from the greatest financial stumbling block when buying a car – the immense loss of value, especially in the first few years. Therefore, the classic new car purchase is simply no longer profitable for many.

Instead of putting your hard -earned savings into an object that loses value rapidly, and later plans around with the tedious resale, you only pay for the actual use of the leasing clever. This means that you always drive a current model, have predictable costs and simply return the car at the end of the term. This is exactly what is now a “all-round carefree package” for a surprisingly small monthly amount this fantastic leasing deal for the popular VW T-Roc.

  • Leasingrate: 149 Euro / Leasingfaktor: 0,75

  • Contract period: 24 months, 10,000 km per year

  • Technology: 1.0-liter engine with 85 kW (116 hp), petrol, manual gearbox

  • Consumption (average): 5.8 liters per 100 km

Compact, chic and surprisingly agile-the T-Roc 1.0 TSI connects SUV feeling with the lightness of a city carnival. The small turbo petrol engine is easily enough for everyday life and weekend trips, while the Clean Cockpit and modern assistants provide relaxed driving. Carwow offers the cheapest leasing rate currently.

VW T-Roc 1.0 TSI Life: Clever Entry into SUV pleasure

This deal can do something: the VW T-Roc in the “Life” equipment with the economical 1.0 TSI petrol engine (116 hp) you get 149 dollars per month. For comparison: This Fiat costs 121 dollars a month. Sure, the comparison lags something (the Fiat is also a good deal), but SUVs are usually significantly more expensive.

The term is a pleasant 24 months, and with 10,000 kilometers of annual mileage, this is perfect for city drivers, commuters with manageable routes or as a chic second car that does not cost the world. A deposit? None – 0 dollars! Only one -time transfer costs of 1,490 dollars are incurred. These are around 200 to 300 dollars higher than you can see for absolute top conditions in the transfer, but the monthly rate is so attractive that this is more than balanced.

Why this deal is a real announcement

The devil is often in detail, but here it is the overall leasing factor (GLF) that makes us cheer. This factor puts the total cost of leasing in relation to the gross list of the vehicle and is a great indicator of the attractiveness of an offer. A glf of 0.75 results for this T-Roc. Everything below 0.8 with a popular VW SUV without nasty hook is already considered decent. Here you do not pay for hot air, but for a fair package. If you consider that a T-Roc in this equipment quickly costs 30,000 dollars, it becomes clear how attractive this monthly rate is.

Details about the car: solid equipment for everyday life

Okay, you don't expect luxury sockets for 149 dollars, but the T-Roc in the “Life” equipment brings a lot with it, which makes everyday life more pleasant and safer. I personally think VW has found a good compromise from price and usefulness.

  1. LED headlights: For me an absolute must nowadays. They are not only chic, they also shine the road much better at night than old halogen functions. A real safety plus that you quickly appreciate.
  2. 8-inch digital cockpit: not a tiny mouse cinema, but a clearly read digital combination instrument. It looks modern and shows you all the important information at a glance. Much better than analog pointers if you ask me.
  3. 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment with digital radio (DAB+): Sure, there are larger screens, but this is enough for the basic functions and clean radio reception. Via USB you can connect your smartphone (mostly for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto), which I always do to use my Spotify playlists or Google Maps.
  4. Air conditioning: Sounds a matter of course, but it is not always in this price range in leasing. Here she is there and ensures cool heads.
  5. Lane keeping assistant (“Lane Assist”): A feature that I love on longer distances. It helps you to stay unobtrusive. Not autonomous driving, but great support that relaxes.
  6. Emergency brake assistant (“Front Assist”): recognizes critical situations and can brake independently in an emergency. A real guardian angel in city traffic or sudden traffic jams.
  7. Electronic parking brake with Auto-Hold function: a small detail with a big impact! Never put on the handbrake again on the mountain or stop on the brake at the traffic light. Auto Hold holds the car until you accelerate again. I don't want to miss it anymore.
  8. Rain sensor & automatic driving gear: Little helpers who make life easier for you. You have to take care of the service less and you can concentrate on driving.

I'm sorry, what? Seat Leon lease for 98 dollars?
Leasing-Deals im Check

Are you facing the decision to buy or lease a car? We show you using the attractive example of the Seat Leon for less than 100 dollars a month, why lease is often the more intelligent choice.

My first impression: This is how the T-Roc 1.0 TSI drives

I did not drive this specific T-Roc Life for this article, but I can say from experience with the T-Roc and the 1.0 TSI engine in other VW models (I know many from car sharing providers): do not expect a racing car, but an absolutely solid and pleasant companion. The three-cylinder turbo gasoline engine with 116 hp is surprisingly sparkling for its size, especially in city traffic and on the country road. It is not a quiet treter, but the background noise remains within the framework. The chassis of the T-Roc is rather comfortable, and most bumps iron away well without being spongy.

What I always notice positively at VWS of this class is the problem -free operation. You get in and find your way around immediately. The digital cockpit is a real eye -catcher and can usually be configured a bit. The lane keeping assistant intervenes gently, but determines when you become careless – that feels safe. The auto-hold function is worth gold in everyday life: take your foot off the brakes at the red traffic light and the car stops-brilliant.

Sure, the equipment of the T-Roc Life is not the bumpy here, so you have to be honest. But when I look at the leasing rate and the really strong factor of 0.75 – especially for a compact SUV – then this is a decent deal. Anyone who complains about missing luxury features really whines at a very high level. Personally, the essentials that is on board are absolutely sufficient for relaxed everyday driving

And when it gets dark, the LED headlights make night a day. This is a clear difference to older lighting techniques and just gives you a better feeling.

The infotainment system with the 6.5-inch screen is the basic variant, but for music, radio and the connection with the smartphone via USB for navigation via cell phone app is always sufficient. You don't always have to have the biggest display if the functionality is right. For the price of 149 dollars a month, what is required in terms of driving experience and everyday helpers is really convincing.
