The new 4K Collector’s Edition of Avatar: Waterways contains numerous deleted and extended scenes, but one in particular stands out.

The new version was released earlier this week, so all the extra footage that comes with it has been released online, giving us a deeper look at the film’s longer, more violent run. One of the funniest scenes is when we see Scoresby (the evil whaler) actually survive losing his arm; considering Brendan Cowell has been confirmed to return for the third installment alongside Payakan movie, which is an odd omission.
Things get even darker in the “Parents and Confrontations from Hell” extended scene, where protagonist Jake Sully and his Na’vi partner Neytiri utterly massacre the remaining RDA troops and Miles on the sinking whaler. ·Quarich’s Recom team. This scene has been violent and tense enough in the last movies (Terminator 2 and James Cameron’s Titanic Power), so it’s fascinating that the filmmakers and he The team actually toned it down quite a bit to avoid going over the edge. R-rated territory.
Even more shocking is Neytiri’s performance in both this iteration of the scene and the final cut. This puts more stress on her relationship with Spider, and requires greater intervention from Jack to truly calm the situation.Considering Neytiri remains one of the “hero” characters in the saga and will reportedly play a larger role in several future installments, it would be wise not to go this darkness
