A breath of fresh air in the battle royale genre? At least the new shooter did Super People some exciting ideas in the luggage. It combines classic arena gameplay like from PUBG with elements from hero shooters and a crafting system.

What is Super People?
What kind of game is this? Super People comes from the Korean developer Wonder People and is a mix of Battle Royale and Hero Shooter. You control one of 12 characters, each with special skills. You level up your weapon and armor via loot and crafting, otherwise the game is very reminiscent of PUBG. Which is also because both shooters are based on Unreal Engine 4 and its assets. Super People: Trailer announces closed beta of the new Battle Royale
Why is this successful? On Steam they climb Player Numbers straight up and are at a remarkable high of 33,000. Pretty strong for a restarted closed beta. Of course, the Korean game market that the game is aimed at is very large. And Super People not only attracts with a chic look, but also fishes in the large pools of hero shooter fans and battle royale friends at the same time.
The Europe streamer Lost already has one Youtube-Video published with his impressions of Super People. Above all, he praises the fast gameplay and some clever decisions by the developers: For example, the size of the combat zone adapts to the number of players. So there is enough action even in half-filled lobbies.
When does the beta run? The current closed beta should be available until December 26, 2021.
How do I take part in the beta? The closed beta is only available via Steam. There you have to click on the green button »Request access« on the Super People shop page. Attention: You have to log in to the client GeeGee in order to play. This link leads you directly to the beta registration.
What else should I know? According to the developers, Europe menus and even dubbing are already integrated. A release date for Super People is not yet known, however, it will probably take a while before the shooter actually appears. It remains to be seen whether he can compete with PUBG, which will switch to a Free2Play model at the beginning of 2022.
