In recent days, Electronic Arts has hinted that they are already working on a new Battefield and that it could see the light of day in 2021.
Indeed, after declaring that the development of additional content for Star Wars: Battlefront II is coming to an end and that Battlefield V will get its last major update this summer, we learn through the VGC site that a new Battlefied could see the light of day between April and December 2021.
While the studio vision for Star Wars Battlefront II is now complete with the Battle of Scarif update, the servers, in-game challenges, recurring events and game support will continue. We look forward to hearing player stories for the two games (Star Wars Battlefront II and Battlefield V) for years to come. In the longer term, the studio is focusing on the future of Battlefield which we will offer to players in 2021.
This new episode will once again be developed by DICE and will therefore be released in 2021 on PC as well as on ninth generation consoles, namely the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X.
