This week's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare patch has some fixes and a welcome change to the way the mission works.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Received relatively large updates on all platforms yesterday.
As promised, the patch introduces infantry-only ground war playlists, the Gunfight Map Bazaar, and a new playlist with Rust, Shipment, and Shoot House to eliminate chaos. However, the biggest change in patches is the adjustment of task tracking.
Or more specifically, operator tasks. Operator tasks are the easiest to complete. They are mainly designed for players to unlock some color variants and other cosmetics for their operators. Unfortunately, Modern War previously treated them as other core tasks, which meant that you had to make sure that the tasks to be completed were active before you played.
However, thanks to this update, the operator task will now be automatically activated when you switch to that operator. Essentially, this means that you can perform both the core task of the activity and any operator task. Operator tasks have also been moved to the operator screen, and the home page now reminds you of recent task requirements.
Although you can only perform one core task at a time, this is still a big change. If you have, you will not have to be dissatisfied with completing these tasks every time.
The patch also introduces a number of bug fixes, including fixes for Spec Ops and Survival. Head to the Infinity Ward blog for a complete change log.
