Director Matt Reeves is far from done with the universe of The Batman. The latter has several projects around iconic villains in addition to a series.
Matt Reeves, the director of The Batman, has many ideas, but above all, Warner Bros’ approval to do what he wants. And he will take this unique opportunity to expand his universe.
The Batman will focus on iconic villains
Now that Matt Reeves has carte blanche, he intends to make the most of it, and so does Warner Bros. After grossing $770.8 million at the global box office, The Batman is set to make waves. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the director is on all fronts.
In addition to a sequel that is being written, more films will be made and not least. In these feature films, the villains of the universe will be the stars. Matt Reeves plans to present his version of Scarecrow aka Scarecrow, but surprisingly also Clayface aka Clayface and Professor Pyg. The latter featured in the television series Gotham. Warner said some time ago:
We want to create an atmosphere where all of these directors can excel, get their jobs done, and stay with us once they become part of the Warner family. It was very important to us to keep Matt and create a home for him to do other projects in the Batman universe but also other original things..
A Warner spokesman.
And the series continues the Penguin ? With Colin Farrell returning to the role, she’s on the right track. This will take a full week after the events of The Batmanand would be articulated as a 6-8 hour story.
It’s so well written. Lauren LeFranc did such an amazing job writing and directing everything on the show. She is terrifying. It’s just an exciting prospect. i love this character. I wanted more of this. I felt like I wasn’t done with the penguin. I wanted to do more
Colin Farrell during an interview for extra (above premiere).
However, Matt Reeves will step down as director.
