Dying Light 2 was one of the most popular games on Steam at the beginning of the year, with almost 300,000 players playing the open-world zombie adventure around three months ago.
There aren’t many of them left at the moment, but that could change starting today: With the major update 1.3, developer Techland is fulfilling the biggest player wish and is finally bringing the long-awaited New Game Plus in the game. We have summarized all important information about the patch for you.

When will patch 1.3 be released?
The update is scheduled for today, on 27. April 2022
What can you expect in the New Game Plus?
In case you’ve never heard of New Game Plus: In this game mode, which is also available in Elden Ring or The Witcher 3, you start the game over again, but keep all the items and character levels you have earned.
In the rerun of Dying Light 2 you can not only make other story decisions, but also get hold of new challenges and rewards:
- All in all 30 new inhibitor containerswhich increase health and stamina, have been hidden around the map.
- The level of your enemies will be adjusted to the level of your hero in NG+.
- For particularly tough battles you can go to the Golden markers travel on your map. In these special encounters, even professionals should be put to the test. As a reward, however, there is a higher chance of legendary weapons and other valuable items.
- Die Quest
Something Big Has Been Here
has been adapted for NG+ and comes up with new enemies.

What else is changing with Patch 1.3?
In addition to the NG + mode, numerous errors are to be fixed, which particularly affect the co-op mode. Especially the annoying ones Death Loops
If you’re playing on console, you can now adjust the field of view with a slider on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
