The doubts are great, the allegations of scam loud. The Day Before has certainly not had the best reputation in recent weeks. It’s no longer just about obscure shifts, now the game is too disappeared on Steam and YouTube deleted the latest gameplay trailer. The skeptics should now be retuned with a new video in which the studio Fntastic dares to look into the past and review the development process.
Some players actually drew new hope from the video – but all doubts are far from gone. You can watch the new developer video right here:

The Day Before wants to clear the doubts with this video review
positive reactions
Fntastic is having a hard time turning this completely twisted tide: The video announcement three days earlier was mocked on its own Discord server, the message received more than 500 salmon smiles as a reaction – enthusiastic or interested emojis didn’t even make it to three digits.
Nevertheless, there are now many comments on the video that are more positive again. writes like this beau bath on Youtube:
I’m still skeptical, but this was a surprisingly successful video! If you stop posting weird stuff on Twitter and maybe release a video or two over the next few months that shows similar quality and possibly new footage from the game that you haven’t seen before, then you could regain a lot of the lost confidence, albeit a lot of negativity this project surrounds! For now I remain skeptical and wait.
A lot of the negativity addressed also comes from the recent gameplay video. What makes the trailer so controversial, we show you in our analysis:

What the gameplay shows and doesn’t show is revealing
Also CommonThiefZA is convinced of the quality of the video:
This is the best video you’ve shown so far. I’m still skeptical, but I have to give credit where it deserves!
There is also some positive feedback in our comments column. GameStar user JochenB writes the following:
»I have to admit: the video gives me the feeling that there could be more to it than previously thought…and the company has simply made an extremely unfortunate PR appearance so far.
A live demo, where you respond to the audience, would still be the best thing they could do at short notice to turn the cart around… Hope dies last!”
Some doubts persist
However, the new video does not come completely without criticism. So complains Uppercase Jthat hardly any new gameplay is shown:
Lmfao, wow. So all the video did was show us the change between the original announcement and the last video? They still think we’re stupid.
But there are also a few new scenes, such as the character editor. Brake the enormously economical selection of options was noticed:
The character settings are enormous: four hairstyles, three beards, done. Brilliant move.
GameStar user Skome 223 cannot ignore what has happened so far:
And even more “damage control” for the permanent red flag of “game”.
I can no longer take the two “CEOs” seriously. Everything that has happened so far is a giant red flag. The naming rights issue alone is a joke. The process is open to the public. They never secured the name and cited that as the reason for postponing the game, even though they KNEW the naming rights were still missing.
No, instead they push ads for the in-house app in a PR video of the game here. The whole situation is pure comedy gold.
