The
"Animal Crossing: New Horizons" was a great success.
According to the latest Famitsu data, Animal Crossing: New Horizons Since its release on March 20, 3,031,784 physical copies have been sold in Japan.
This is much more than the 1.88 million copies sold in the first three days of the market in the region (thanks to Gematsu).
Famitsu only reports physical copies, so once the digital copy is considered, the number will be higher.
If you want to compare the numbers, Juggernaut Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Edition and Pokemon Sword and Shield sold 3.6 million and 3.5 million copies in the region, respectively.
Nintendo has not yet released the global data of the game, but it will report its year-end financial status on May 7, so we may get stable sales data at that time.
