New mode flies out again, gave too many XP

Update 1.15 from Modern Warfare brought a lot of new things, but not all of them can remain in the game.

Infinity Ward changed its mind: Only on February 25, two days ago, the patch 1.15 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was released and introduced the new game mode Giant Infection, among other things, now the mode is flying out again out of the game.

What is the problem with Giant Infection?

Apparently the mode simply gave the players too many experience points. The developers reported via Twitter that the Giant Infection playlist is shedding "a little too much XP", so they are taking the mode out of the game until they have found a fix for the problem.

The Giant Infection playlist was giving out a little too much XP, so we just rolled out a playlist update to remove the mode while we work on a fix.

How does Giant Infection work?

The infection mode was there before, now update 1.15 brought back a new and bigger variant of it. In Giant Infection, 64 players fight for survival on the Aniyah Palace ground war map. One player is initially "infected" and then he has to infect all of his teammates. The survivors have to try to keep the infected away.

Apparently you get so fast and so many experience points in the mode that you quickly climb in rank and especially in the Battle Pass. Infinity Ward obviously didn't like that, which is why Giant Infection is no longer available for the time being.

What else is new in CoD: Modern Warfare 1.15? The current patch provided even more innovations for the multiplayer shooter, including the new mode "Boots on the Ground War", in which we play the large ground war mode without tanks and according to realism rules.
