Patch 1.66 for the PC version of GTA Online is here and it attacks the current worst exploits by hackers.
GTA Online PC gamers have been exposed to a fatal security vulnerability over the past few days: those who ventured into GTA 5’s multiplayer mode not only risked his account, but also his hardware. One of the worst exploits in recent years allowed GTA Online hackers to corrupt or even disable both – we covered it.
Rockstar has finally released a security update with patch 1.66, which should solve the problem. The official patch notes (on page 2 of this article) don’t go into too much detail, but obviously address the issue that has had the GTA Online community in turmoil for the past two weeks.
