The Xbox Store is running a new type of promo that gives you a free Xbox Series and One game with the purchase of certain Ubisoft titles.
The Black Friday 2022 Xbox promos are over, but Microsoft is proceeding with an unprecedented operation. Where the online stores of the big publishers go every week with their big discounts, the Redmond-based company is trying a new approach used in every store: “One bought, one free”.
A new wave of promos has arrived on the Xbox store and it’s new for the store. Ubisoft and Microsoft are launching an operation that will allow you to get a free game for a purchased game from a selection of titles from the publisher. There are some nice AAAs in the crowd like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 6, Watch Dogs Legion. Visit the Store on your Xbox Series or One before December 15, 2022 to take advantage. All you have to do is add two games from the selection to your cart to pay for just one. The titles in question are:
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
- Far cry 6
- Watchdogs Legion
- Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint
- for honor
- Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
- Far Cry 5
- Just Dance 2023
- Immortals Fenyx Rising
- Tom Clancy’s The Division 2: Warlords of New York
- Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands
If the intent is commendable, it’s far from the most beneficial advertisement. The Ubisoft games on the list are often heavily discounted, regularly dropping past minus 50%. You will therefore save more by buying the games separately during promotions (very often) than by buying one to have the other game for free. To see if Microsoft will repeat the experience with a juicier offering.
