Joker 2: Folie à deux, one of the most anticipated films of 2024, resurfaces with footage of Harley Quinn (Lady Gaga) and Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix).
Todd Phillips’ first Joker, currently available on Prime Video, was a real phenomenon. Even people not necessarily connected to superhero universes have seen the film. And the feature film grossed large, very large amounts of money at the international box office, with over a billion US dollars. Given a budget of only 55 million, it was a gigantic success, hence the recognition of Joker 2: Folie à deux.
Pictures of Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix in Joker 2
Despite the writers’ and actors’ strike in Hollywood, Warner Bros. Pictures has not changed the release date of Joker 2: Folie à deux. The date is therefore currently set for October 2, 2024 in France. A sequel as expected, as feared. Fans are particularly divided over Harley Quinn’s appearance: between those who have complete confidence and others who believe the makeup and costume don’t go far enough.
Before an official Joker 2: Folie à deux trailer is released to see everything in action – which will hopefully be available fairly quickly – two more photos have been posted online. The first focus is on Lady Gaga, who looks almost natural and is not wearing a fancy outfit but a very classic dress. Apparently, psychiatrist Harleen Quinzel hasn’t gone crazy yet, unless the feature film decides to alternate the two facets of her personality.
What is striking about this picture and has not escaped internet users is the already very loving look that Harley Quinn gives her patient. A photo that this time likes more than the previous ones, given the comments that even suggest a race for the Oscar for Lady Gaga. Secondly, we have a sketch of Arthur Fleck through his cell at Arkham Asylum. An iconic location that was rumored to be visible for a very large portion of the film, which would make sense given the patient/caregiver relationship developed between the Joker and Harley Quinn. As a reminder, Joker 2: Folie à deux will take a completely different approach since it is a musical, without us knowing more.
