Predator: Hunting Grounds is scheduled to be released on April 24, 2020. You can play it for free next week: From March 27-29, that means for a whole weekend, there is an open test phase.
How can I test the Predator game?
- All you have to do is download the game from the Epic Store to start the event.
- It starts on March 27th from 5:00 p.m. CET and you can play on March 29th until 11:59 p.m.
- While PlayStation owners only have access as part of a PlayStation Plus subscription, no restriction has been mentioned for PC players.
The multiplayer game puts you either in the role of a soldier or the Predator himself. Hunting Grounds is an asymmetrical multiplayer shooter: Four people fight a Predator and must complete mission objectives, which the iconic alien tries to prevent them from doing. The setting is based on the film template.

The Predator is obviously extremely fast and clearly superior to the soldiers in 1 against 1. He uses well-known gadgets from the films, such as the net cannon. The Cooperation between the four human players should be imperativeto survive the encounter with the monster and reach the final goal: evacuation via helicopter.
At first glance, Predator: Hunting Grounds is reminiscent of titles like Evolve. Whether it can captivate players longer than the spiritual predecessor remains to be seen. If you want to pre-order it: it costs 33 euros in the Epic Games Store and you get a skin and a mini-cannon as a pre-order bonus. We would recommend that you first take a look at the announced event – it doesn't cost anything.
