Cage even portrayed himself in a film. But one dream remains unfulfilled to this day: to play in Star Trek! The signs that this will work at some point may not be so bad after all.

Nicolas Cage has already found a great advocate for his time on the Enterprise: Terry Matalas, screenwriter and showrunner of the Star Trek series Picard, was opposite on the red carpet at the Saturn Awards Screenrant already revealed his idea for the role of Cage:

Ultimately, Terry Matalas doesn’t have a say in this decision either. Matalas is not said to be involved in Star Trek 4 (JJ Abrams’ reboot series), which is currently reportedly in production.
