Speculations about a possible Nintendo Direct have recently picked up speed due to updates in the eShop – and now a well-known insider is underlining the rumours. So there could be such a transmission very soon!
Microsoft was the first of the major manufacturers to broadcast a streaming event in the new year with Developer_Direct – and now Nintendo can follow with a direct conference. After there were already signs of this due to various updates in the Nintendo eShop, a well-known insider now also suggests that a new Direct will be broadcast in the near future.
While an official announcement by the Japanese themselves is still pending, insider Jeff Grubb is now saying that such a direct could be broadcast as early as next week. He has heard that the event is planned for the week beginning February 6, but he cannot give a definitive guarantee. As a rule, however, the information from Grubb turns out to be extremely reliable!
It is fitting that Nintendo traditionally holds a direct conference in February. In the past, the focus has always been on the most important releases for the switch in the first half of the new year. However, clarity in this regard should not prevail until next week, because normally the Japanese always make official announcements about the broadcast date at very short notice.
Should that happen, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom should play a major role. After all, what is probably the biggest switch blockbuster in a long time should be released in this first half of the year. Other potential candidates for a presentation would be Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe, Pikmin 4 or Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. And: There has also been plenty of information about a release date for Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp in the last few days! This could possibly be published directly in the course of the Direct conference.
Here’s a recap of last February’s Direct issue; this lasted a good 40 minutes.
