It did not warn that this was about to happen.
Nintendo seems to be pulling some DSiWare Games in 3DS eShop.
First discovered by Twitter users @comeoutpunching, From January 1, 2021, the DSiWare title issued before mid-May 2011 will be deleted from its digital storefront.
Delisted game report More than 250 titles have been deleted from the 448 DSiWare titles previously available in the eShop category. According to Nintendo Life, attempts to access these games will display the message to the player: “This software is currently unavailable.”
Well, at least this is the case in the United States. Obviously, these games are still available in Europe and Japan. This is not to say that these regions will not be similarly hit in the near future, so if any DSiWare holds a special place in your heart, you may need to download it immediately, just in case.
Given that Nintendo has not made any comments on the withdrawal of the DSiWare game, it is entirely possible that this is some kind of technical deception, but we will wait and see.
DSiWare made its debut in November 2008… Nintendo DSi console, available for purchase through specific DSi stores. When 3DS was launched in June 2011, all of this content had been added to the eShop. Some of the most iconic titles coming soon are Shantae: Risky’s Revenge, Cave Story and Picopit.
