In April, Nintendo wants to reveal details about the Switch 2 – probably also the publication date. A media market employee is now said to have revealed in advance when the handheld will appear.

In May you will probably be able to buy the Nintendo Switch 2, the user Renjirox_ reports on Reddit. He refers to statements by an employee in a media market branch in Poland. Renjirox_ had asked this about an action in the Switch department. As part of this, the shop sold brand new switch games cheaper as “outlet” products. According to the employee, the reason for this should be that the MediaMarkt branch “wants to create space” for May.
The Reddit user evaluates this as an indication of the launch of the Switch 2 in May. Friends of his who would work in other electronics markets also confirmed that the new Nintendo console would come in May. An exact date could Renjirox_ but do not find out. He taps in the middle or end of May.
Publication allegedly in May
However, there are several reasons why his statements can be questioned. After the presentation of the Switch 2, Nintendo goes on a promo tour in early April. This only ends in June, which is why fans do not expect the handheld to release before June. In addition, the Switch also passed two months between presentation and publication. Therefore, a release in June appears much more realistic.
Furthermore, it is pointed out in the comments that a former Nintendo employee has recently stated in the Podcast Kit & Krista that retailers are currently hardly inaugurated in the Japanese manufacturer's plans. Therefore, it is unlikely that you already know the release date.
