The motherboard of the Nintendo Switch 2 has apparently come into circulation and allows further technical conclusions to be drawn about the new Nintendo console. It is the next important leak on the platform, which is causing fresh speculation about the specific features.

Will Nintendo finally come around next week and officially introduce us to the Nintendo Switch 2? It would be desirable, because then it should finally become clear whether and to what extent the numerous leaks about new features were actually accurate. Today there are more rumors about the technical equipment, as the platform's motherboard appears to have been leaked in advance.

The alleged motherboard layout has now popped up online via social media, after supposedly accurate renderings of the Switch 2 itself were recently seen. Today's leak information originated in the corresponding subreddit r/GamingLeaksAndRumours. There, a user named zsomuto compiled the details about the leaked motherboard design and further analyzed the components based on their part numbers and logos.

While the actual graphics performance of the Switch 2 remains the big mystery, the supposed motherboard suggests that Nintendo's new console uses an NVIDIA SoC manufactured by Samsung, which was manufactured sometime in 2024. In addition, 12 GB of DDR5 lower-power RAM will be used, which will be divided into two 6 GB chips manufactured by SK Hynix. There is also an audio chip from Realtek on the motherboard, but unfortunately the exact part number could not be deciphered from the images here.

Further information: The Switch 2 will use a USB 2.0 controller from Genesys and will also have an internal storage space of 256 GB. This would increase the hard drive space more than eight times compared to the original switch.

Rumors have recently been circulating again that Nintendo will also use an AI upscaling technology comparable to NVIDIA's DLSS in the future. Corresponding conclusions were recently possible based on a patent from Nintendo that became public.
