The official presentation of the Nintendo Switch 2 was less than two days, but during this period we have already received tons of information. Nvidia now has a small technology update and that promises great.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is of course still a tablet, even if it brings significantly more power to the table than its predecessor console. Nevertheless, Nintendo promised in the recent direct resolutions and image rates of up to 4K60 in dock mode and the built-in display offers 120 Hertz.

But how should all of this be achieved? Nvidia now spoke up and stated that the Switch 2 rely on DLSS-upscaling. The higher resolutions should be achieved, which is no different with a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X.

To prevent Tearing in handheld mode, the console also supports G-Sync. This prevents the image from tearing open through different refresh rates of play and display. Of course, the question remains exciting which title about 120 frames should run the second, presumably these are cute little Indies with a pixel look.

But Nvidia also had a real surprise regarding the Switch 2 in store. Because as can be seen from the blog post, the console actually supports raytracing! For this, the new CHIP dedicated RT Cores offers, so development studios do not have to rely on a software-side solution. We are talking about dynamic lighting and natural reflections.

However, we are excited to see how well the technology ultimately works. At the moment there is more of a panic for many fans whether they can pre -order the console at all. Still others are upset because of the game prices, but almost 90 dollars for a physical Mario Kart are also simply an announcement.
