The rumors about the Switch 2 are picking up speed again these days. New speculation now says that there will be three different versions of the console for release.
In the past few days, the rumor mill surrounding the still unannounced Switch 2 has picked up speed again. Accessories manufacturers released supposed first looks at the new console, the presumed dimensions of the platforms could sometimes be read – and now it is said that the Switch 2 will be available in three different versions at launch.
The one who is otherwise unknown RedditUser NextHandheld now claims that he has gotten his hands on a final version of the Switch 2 and revealed possible new details in this context. Moderators of the corresponding subreddit thread have vouched for the user and its source; Accordingly, evidence is said to have been disclosed in the course of the reporting, making the insider report at least worth a look.
If the information from NextHandheld is correct, the Switch 2 will be available in three color versions upon release. There will be a gray console with black buttons, similar to the first version of the original Switch in 2017. The second color variant will be white and should be comparable to the OLED Switch from 2021.
Last but not least, a special edition is also being discussed, which will be visually based on a game. There are no specific details as to what title it is, but there is speculation about a possible Mario Kart 9.
The topic of release dates is also discussed again: the Switch 2 should be available in mid-March 2025. Does it all really happen like that? We'll have to wait for the official announcement from Nintendo.
There are two Tetris classics available for you on Switch Online in December.
