Finally, the announcement all Mario and Zelda fans have been waiting for is finally here… Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo.
Nintendo Switch 2? Never heard of it, but what I have heard of is the newly released Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo, a literal alarm clock from the Mario Maker himself. No, you didn’t skip a few months to April 1, this is a very real product Nintendo announced, and it’s actually just an alarm clock. Well, that might be a bit of a simplification, because of course, this is an alarm clock done the Nintendo way. You see, the alarm clock monitors you while you sleep, I mean it has motion sensors.
When the alarm goes off at the time of your choice, it will play a theme from one of five games, including Super Mario Odyssey, Pikmin 4, Splatoon 3, Ring Fit Adventure, and Wildlands “Breath of the Kingdom” (especially not “Tears of the Kingdom”). The clock then reacts to your movements, playing different sounds when you sit up and stretching your arms (because who else wakes up other than in a sluggish fugue state), and when it looks By the time you’re fully standing up from the bed, it’s finally closed. To be clear, there is a push-button mode where you can use it as a regular alarm clock, which is recommended if you share a bed with other people.

At each hour of the hour, it will also be as charming as a classic grandfather clock, and will also make different sounds from the above games. It can also play some ASMR-style sounds to help you fall asleep, and it can track your movements while you sleep if you want to learn more about yourself. Oh, and you can connect it to your Wi-Fi to get free sounds, with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing coming next.
If you live in the United States and subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online, you can purchase it in advance to the public through the My Nintendo Store for a limited time, which will last until early 2025. Anyone who goes to the Nintendo New York store can and will just buy it there. It does cost $100, though, so seriously consider how much you want to be that Nintendo guy.
Anyway, I’m sure the Nintendo Switch 2 release is coming, right? Correct?
