Nintendo Switch Online has a great selection of classic titles, but a March update to the service has introduced four more titles for the SNES, NES, and Game Boy. If you’re older than me, you probably actually remember playing.
Both BurgerTime Deluxe and Kirby’s Dream Land 2 are playable now on the Game Boy app. SIDE POCKET has been added to the SNES app and XEVIOUS has been added to the NES app.
BurgerTime Deluxe is an arcade game that lets you cook burgers… no surprise! Your main goal is to finish these burgers through a series of platforming levels, traversing the ingredients we need and narrowly dodging the enemy food we don’t want.
As for Kirby Dreams 2, it’s the only game I’m personally familiar with, and it’s all about replicating abilities. It’s not quite Kirby’s Nightmare in Dream Land, but it’s everyone’s favorite pink poyo for some platforming fun, inhale.
Side Pocket is for those of us who enjoy playing the video game pool. I must say, I think I’ll stick with 8 Ball Pool, but if you miss the SNES more than I do, this might be for you.
Last but not least is XEVIOUS. Feeling old when this game hit arcades in 1982? As the pilot of the Solvalou Fighter, it is your duty to attack the XEVIOUS army with your arsenal of weapons before they take over humanity. The game is inspired by sci-fi media such as Alien, Star Wars, and Battlestar Galactica.
Would you try any of the above four titles, or would the thought of them make your bones creak?
