Nioh 2 players can use the cross-save support for PS5, to bring their PS4 saves to the console.
Nioh 2 Players Can Now Upload PS4 Saves to PS5
Team Ninja had previously explained that with update 1.24 cross-save management would be supported for their Action-RPG Nioh 2. You can now access your saves via the system tab on the title screen. It will allow you to upload your PS4 data, then boot the game on the PS5, and redownload your save file using the same Playstation Network account.
The cross-save process is fairly painless and straight forward but players should be aware of a couple of things. Since the trophies system is slightly different on the PS5, the developer has stated that “some trophies that have already been earned (those that are difficult to earn again) will be automatically acquired when the save data is loaded.” Also as the matchmaking is different on the PS5, you won’t be able to match up with your old friend list, but will need a specific password to join a friend.
The update has gone live a few days ahead of The Nioh Collection for PS5, which bundles together the Nioh Remastered, Nioh 2 Remastered, and all the DLC for both games. The Nioh 2 remaster on PS5 will support 4K resolution, and up to 120 FPS gameplay.
Team Ninja also previously announced to celebrate the release of Nioh 2 Remastered – The Complete Edition, all Nioh 2 players can gain two time-limited sets, the Ornate Gold Armor and Sohaya Deserter Garb. These can be claimed between February 5th to February 26th so grab them while you can.
