Everyone loves the cheerful little green Xiaoyu in Nioh 2. But what do you do when you encounter something more sinister but very cute and friendly, Purple evil little jade?
It's not clear what you intend to do, except for the prompt that "seems like you want." We've seen people trying to purify them with gas pulses, attack them, and throw things at them, but all you really have to do is give them an item to trade.
It is also worth noting that the purple evil little jade Don't Counts in the hidden green Kodama list at any given level.
What to do with Evil Purple Kodama in Nioh 2
Repeat, you don't have to purify or wash the purple Kodama to turn it into a green cousin. The "thing" that evil Xiaoyu wants is an item in your inventory. After interacting with you enough to learn their language, it's clear that they don't even want to cause you inconvenience, they just like shiny things.
To play the ball, you need to enter the inventory and place items by Triangle. Kodama then picks it up and rewards you with similar items of the same level and rarity.
This can be a weapon, armor, soul core or consumable.
In my experience, if you give Kodama a soul core, it will give you another of its kind, and weapons and armor are usually different.
This is a great way to exchange high-level and purple rare useless equipment. For example, if you only use light armor but have a lot of purple heavy grease, you can give them to the evil Kodama for more useful changes.
Sometimes, the purple Kodama will ask for a smelly round item-dung ball-from your inventory. In return, they usually give you a lot of rare supplies.
