news culture “No Love Story” Jenna Ortega will dramatically change season 2 on Netflix on Wednesday
With the second season, Netflix’s Wednesday series will completely change its tone. And it’s definitely better that way!
Jenna Ortega, producer on Wednesday (Netflix)
Despite her young age, actress Jenny Ortega has no tongue in her pocket and knows what she wants. For the past few months, we’ve seen her pace the set and other podcasts without saying a word about the arguments she may have had on the set of Season 1 of Wednesday
I don’t think I’ve ever had to fight as much on set as I did on Wednesday. Nothing Wednesday did, nothing I had to play, made any sense to this character. you stuck in a love triangle? The world is upside down. {…} There were times on the set when I flirted with unprofessionalism in terms of line breaks.
However, as you can imagine, the young actress’ voice wasn’t always heard. To change that, she decided to serve as an executive producer for Season 2.
We decided to focus a bit more on the horror aspect of the series. It’s usually a light show featuring vampires, werewolves, and superpowers. In fact, you shouldn’t take yourself too seriously.
Less love, more horror
You’ll understand that the love triangle between Wednesday, Tyler and Xavier wasn’t to Jenny Ortega’s liking. An opinion shared by some viewers elsewhere. If that was the case for you, you know there’s no more romance on Wednesday. At least, that’s what the actress told Variety:
There won’t be any romance, and that’s a really good thing. We become bolder and darker.
We must therefore expect a darker and freer series teen movie which put some people off. This will be an opportunity for them to give the series a second chance. However, you need to be patient for this. Season 2 was only announced in January 2023 and is therefore not expected to be available on Netflix until 2024.
