Just a few days ago, Hello Games’ Sean Murray detailed what the No Man’s Sky 4.0 update will look like in an interview with PCGamer. We’ve got a pretty good idea of what to expect, and it’s tweaks to make the game welcome newcomers or returning players, or just make it more appealing to veterans who believe they’ve done it all.
This includes Easy Mode and Survival Mode, both of which offer easier and harder difficulty depending on your player type. On top of that, performance improvements, increased inventory space, and of course, perhaps the biggest accompaniment to the entire 4.0 update, the space exploration title is finally here on Nintendo Switch.
That said, those who play on the Nintendo Switch will not only be able to explore the expansive space with responsive touch controls in handheld mode, but they can also pack themselves some freebies to support the survival game on Hello Games handheld.
What exactly is a freebie? Well, if you jump into No Man’s Sky on Switch, you’ll be able to collect the Horizon Vector NX starship and the Infinite Neon Mark XXII Multi-Tool. Both of these rewards are very similar to the default Switch Joy-Con colors, which are a combination of red and blue.
If you ask me, this makes them really cool to roam the galaxy on your Nintendo Switch! To get these rewards back, all you need to do is log into the game from your console and connect to the No Man’s Sky Switch server.
That’s not all there is to the Waypoiny update either. The visuals have been overhauled, the catalog has been updated for clarity, and many other quality-of-life tweaks and improvements have been added to the game. Let’s just say, No Man’s Sky has come a long way since 2016; it’s barely recognizable. More importantly, it’s pretty awesome and one of the best survival games out there.
