Heck, it looks like spoiler season is coming for the Silent Hill 2 remake, as some players appear to already own a copy of the game.
What are the rules about spoilers when it comes to remaking games that have been out for decades? If you ask me, I think it’s good to have a little courtesy because for a lot of people this will be their first experience with the game – it’s kind of like Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which almost everyone knows One Big spoilers, but we all talk about it vaguely for fear of spoiling it for people who don’t know. Now here we are again, this time with the Silent Hill 2 remake, and I have to warn you all about spoilers, because it looks like at least some players got their hands on a copy of the game (very) early.

In this particular case, it’s not a leak, as a user on Reddit shared a photo of a physical copy of the remaster on the Silent Hill subreddit. It’s important to note that this is extremely early, as the game won’t actually be released until October 8, which is still over a week away. According to users who shared that they received early copies, they were lucky because British retailer GAME accidentally sent them early. The user in question doesn’t appear to have shared any spoilers yet, but they don’t appear to be the only ones who got their hands on an early copy.

If you’re hoping to play the game on a console other than the PS5, you’ll need to be especially careful, as it’s apparently exclusive to the PS5 console for the entire year.
