There’s a lot to talk about in our list of the 300 Best PC Games of All Time. So much that we have extended our podcast discussion with Christian Schiffer directly to a second part – including a surprising twist:
At the time of writing, Christian is working on his own list of the top 100 g ames that were missing from our list!
Of course, he introduces them to Micha and Géraldine in the podcast, and there are all sorts of treasures that really add to our list: The space strategy classic Master of Orion 2, for example.
Or Anstoss 2, the football champion of hearts. Or the “Immersive Sim” forefather Ultima Underworld, in which bottles rolled down uneven surfaces – in 1992! Or the insane television manager Mad TV. Or – How could that not be chosen? – Hotline Miami!

However, there are also oddities. For example, Kaiser, undoubtedly the “most Europe game of all time”, whose game depth, viewed from today’s perspective, ranges somewhere between a pocket calculator and a sack of marbles.
And of course we keep blustering about GameStar listings. Micha, for example, quarrels with Gothic and Gothic 2 (too low!) and Far Cry (too high!), while Géraldine questions our ranking of the Elder Scrolls series parts: Oblivion behind Morrowind, at least that is madness! And we haven’t even talked about Skyrim yet…
Meanwhile, Christian works on Prey – the shooter from 2006, not Arkane’s new Prey from 2016, which didn’t make our list at all. He’s also bothered by our lack of love for SimCity 2000, whose fame has now been eclipsed by Cities: Skylines, which Christian admits is “the best game ever, we don’t need to talk about that.”
And what about Vampire Survivors, the best game of the year 2022 according to scientific research, as you can listen to in the podcast with Micha:

what are you playing – Micha could play Elden Ring but is stuck on Vampire Survivors
