Fans have long been waiting for “Obi-Wan Kenobi”, the new highlight from the “Star Wars” universe. It is about the return of Ewan McGregor as eponymous Jedi master Kenobi. Now the first video in the Disney + series has finally appeared!

We return to the desert planet Tatooine – not to be confused with Arrakis from “Dune”. Obi-Wan Kenobi’s most important mission: protect Luke Skywalker from the eyes of the Empire. We see actor Ewan McGregor practicing with the lightsaber.
In “Obi-Wan Kenobi” the Jedi in exile stumbles across some familiar faces such as Luke’s Uncle Owen (Joel Edgerton) and Aunt Beru (Bonnie Piesse). There is also a big reunion with Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader alias Anakin Skywalker.
At the end of the video, the great lightsaber duel between the two former friends with concept designs is shown. Producer Kathleen Kennedy promises the “rematch of the century”!

The “Kenobi” series will start in 2022 in the Disney + novelty program. Before that, “Star Wars” fans will be able to enjoy “The Book of Boba Fett”, the first spin-off from “The Mandalorian”, in December.
