The month of June 2024 will be special for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Microsoft is changing its usual communication schedule a bit as the Sum Game Fest approaches. The games of the month have not yet been officially announced, although we know a tiny part of them. The Redmond company is undoubtedly planning some surprise announcements during its conference, which will take place on Sunday evening, June 9. However, it seems that one of the additions to the Xbox Game Pass for June 2024 has been revealed ahead of schedule and is a real nugget.
New leak about Xbox Game Pass from June 2024
We still have to wait a bit to discover the XGP games of June 2024. The last two confirmed titles have thus recently joined the catalog. On the one hand, Firework, a puzzle game that has tens of thousands of extremely positive reviews, on the other, the cozy Rolling Hills, at the crossroads of life simulation and restaurant management. Other productions will be added in the coming days, but Microsoft is slow to reveal their names. However, the Exuter site has leaked one of them. According to its sources, the excellent Ocotopath Traveler 2 will join Xbox Game Pass in June 2024, when it is released on Microsoft machines. At the same time, its predecessor would also be added to the service.
The fact that the RPG is coming to Xbox Series and PC has long been no surprise. Square Enix and Microsoft had announced the launch of Octopath Traveler 2 on these machines some time ago, but the Redmond company immediately reiterated that it would not integrate its subscription service, after having said the opposite shortly before. The game should therefore be released later this month and finally, as proposed from the beginning, be included in the Xbox Game Pass from its release.
A great old school role playing game
Xbox Game Pass subscribers who love RPGs should therefore have an excellent game to immerse themselves in. Considered a clear improvement on the formula of the first part, Octopath Traveler 2 was already a gem in its time. A careful production, both in terms of production and its coating, both sound and visual. Captivating plot, 8 characters with intertwined destinies, turn-based combat as exciting as ever and lush HD 2D graphics … The game somehow manages to refine a formula that was already bordering on perfection. Xbox Game Pass subscribers should therefore be able to discover it by the end of the month. The rumor obliges, but the information must be taken with reservations until a possible official release in the coming days.
