One of the most emotional scenes in Avengers: Endgame was inspired by a DC animated film

If something has options, there will always be people willing to tell you that their choice is much better than yours. It’s always happened: sports teams, political parties or anything that involves choosing based on taste. The video game industry has been suffering for many years with the console and PC war, and obviously superheroes have their own particular feud with Marvel and DC.

The MCU’s The Flash was a canonical event in the superhero world due to its enormous impact on popular culture. Obviously, the film was not exempt from controversy. One of its most emotional scenes is inspired by another from the DC animated film called Batman and Superman: Public Enemiesadaptation of the homonymous comicalthough many accused Marvel of copying.

At the beginning of Avengers EndgameTony Stark finds himself on a ship stranded in space with Nebula. With no supplies left and all hope lost, he records the famous message to Pepper Potts with his suit’s helmet and accepts the inevitable. Shortly after, Captain Marvel finds the ship and takes it to Earth, where the rest of the Avengers are.

The similarities with the scene of Batman and Superman: Public Enemies They are obvious. The Batwing or Batman’s Batala is stranded in Earth’s orbit and it is Superman who is in charge of rescuing it. He lowers the ship to the surface in the same way we see Captain Marvel do in Endgame. It cannot be denied that they are very similar, although it is up to you to call it inspiration or copy.
