Notice: One Piece manga chapter 1085 spoilers
Although the anime is currently in a great moment, the One Piece manga has just presented in its last chapter one of the most famous mysteries of the entire work. It turns out that during the episode 1085we have been able to see Im-Sama explaining the meaning of the D, a suffix that both Luffy and other great pirates have in their names.
The last episode of One Piece gave us new insights into the series’ most powerful antagonists, Imu and the Five Elders, and his great weakness: the D clan. During a conversation between King Cobra and the Five Elders, the meaning of this mysterious initial was addressed. Surprisingly, Imu, the secret ruler of the World Government, stepped in and answered the question.
“The D is the name of those who once opposed us. Those who bear the D in their name are just empty husks, ignorant of the true meaning of their name.”
This information ties into many clues that have been revealed throughout the series about the D’s willespecially with what Dr. Vegapunk recently revealed about the Void Century and the massive war that took place against a technologically cutting-edge civilization.
The next 11th of June the episode will premiere 1086in which we will likely see the true identity of Im, who is currently fighting Sabo and hopes to defeat him so that no one finds out who he really is.
