Online number crunchers have used a number of Street Fighter 6 Reddit threads to determine which characters are the scariest for the fighting game’s online community. Who stands out? The answer might surprise you.
Top-ranked fighters include long-range powerhouse JP, charging nightmare Ken, and British ace Cammy. However, among Reddit users, Jamie is the scariest character in Street Fighter VI.
This was determined by user Perfectpencil, who collected character-labeled posts and the number of likes on those posts. They then entered these into a pie chart, and then used the two combined rankings to come up with a final conclusive list. The result is that many strong characters are well represented, but there are also some standout inclusions and absences.
Jamie being number one is very interesting. He’s undeniably a tricky character, and his main gimmick stems from his ability to drink during a match, providing an extra special move and eventually entering a power-up if the Jamie player manages to drink four drinks. If you don’t know the intricacies of the character, especially if he’s powered up, that’s probably why he’s scary.
But perhaps even more shocking was Marisa’s absence! Not only is this character incredibly powerful, with high-powered combos and the ability to break through and drive shock attacks, she’s also the most recent character to win the Red Bull Kumite! By all accounts, Marisa is an excellent character, but obviously not a terribly terrible one. Who knows, maybe once Rashid comes out, we’ll see a huge change in the rankings.
