Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Trailer introduces the new Easter event
The Ostara Festival of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla continues, but unfortunately not always smoothly: After the start on March 18, complaints from players who complained of crashes and bugs increased. The developers reacted quickly: Festival decorations and the associated event quests were temporarily deactivated.
They are back now, but unfortunately there are still some annoying difficulties. We’ll bring you up to date and list known problems and workarounds. What else was in the big 1.2.0 patch besides the festival, you can find out in the following message:

AC Valhalla: Update brings long-desired feature

New: Aktuelle Known Issues & Workarounds
How are things going with Ostara at AC Valhalla?
Since the 1.2.0 update, which ushered in Season 2, the game has been crashing regularly for many, especially near (or in) the home town of Ravensthorpe. But other bugs also occur frequently.
For example, a surprising number of players report that their horse stops making noises. To avoid such problems, the developers disabled some content. In the meantime, the decoration quests have been activated again, but the following bugs are still known:
- The colorful skin for the raven is not applied when selected.
-
Of the Ostara Festival progress
- You can don’t interact with Alvin, if you complete the quest “It should be festive” before the Easter egg hunt. Workaround: If the Viking fight plays, Alvin should appear again in front of the hut and let himself be spoken to.
- FPS-Drops can perform during the festival tournament.
- The message “The festival ends soon” appears when the game is started. It is also a display error. At the festival dealer you can find out the correct end date, which is April 8, 2021.
At the moment, it doesn’t look like the festival will be extended to compensate for the bugs. So if you want to unlock the rewards, you should stick to it over the long Easter weekend!
Due to the technical problems, we have not upgraded Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. You can read our detailed reason here:

Patch 1.2.0 for Valhalla doesn’t go far enough
Incidentally, the Easter Festival is not the only exciting innovation that awaits you in Season 2 from AC Valhalla. The first big DLC Zorn der Druiden will be released at the end of April – then hopefully without any comparable technical problems.
