Attention strategy fans, here comes an exciting insider tip from Maurice Weber (who is busy with streaming and therefore did not write this article himself). The auto-battler Mechabellum was introduced at the Paradox show, but it was easy to miss with all the big announcements.
But not with Maurice’s Argus eyes!

It’s a really fun game that you can try out for free right now: Click here for the trial version on Steam. The final release should then follow on May 11, 2023. But what exactly is so good about Mechabellum?
Giant mechs and tactical battles
As is usual with auto-battlers, you don’t control your units directly on the battlefield, but prepare them before the round, deploy them tactically and then watch the battle unfold. At Mechabellum, your army consists of, surprise, mechs.
The different sized and heavy metal warriors have different strengths and weaknesses that you have to master. But sometimes only an expensive air strike helps to free your troops from a hopeless situation.
Curious about what it looks like in motion? Maurice has already tried the test version himself in the stream. From 1:53 it starts with its gameplay for Mechabellum:
Mechabellum should offer both single player and online multiplayer and co-op in the finished version. You can fight against AI opponents or human opponents.
