Recently there was finally a sign of life from Overwatch 2 when a beta test phase was announced for April. The concrete start date for this has now been set.
Blizzard Entertainment has now followed the announcement of a PvP beta for Overwatch 2 with a concrete start date. After the registrations were already possible, it is now clear that it will start on April 26, 2022.
As previously reported, the PvP Beta will feature a larger group of testers to provide feedback on PvP gameplay. The aim of this first test phase is to try out new features, content and game systems before you also devote yourself to the servers in a later stress test.
In the PvP Beta you can expect 5v5 gameplay, the new hero Sojourn, four new maps, the new push mode, various hero overhauls and a new ping system. registrations are still possible on this website
The beta test is currently still focused on PC users, but later console players will also be allowed in a test phase before the actual release. On the PC, however, the system requirements of the beta are as follows:
