Overwatch 2 will soon replace its predecessor Overwatch. Blizzard has now announced when you can play for the release and when the old game will no longer be available.

- The Overwatch 2 servers will be live on October 4th at 9 p.m.
- The day before, on October 3 at 6 p.m., the old Overwatch servers will be shut down.
It has been known for some time that the free-to-play title Overwatch 2 will be released on October 4th, but until now it was not clear when exactly the launch can be expected.
Blizzard has now announced that it will switch the Overwatch 2 servers on October 4th 21 clock German time to boot. Since this is a global launch, there is also no time advantage for any country.
Since Overwatch 2 is supposed to completely replace the previous title Overwatch, the servers of the old game will of course also be shut down. Starting October 3 at 6 p.m. you will no longer be able to access Overwatch.
By the way, new heroes in Overwatch 2 are only supposed to be available via the Battle Pass, but if you already had the old game, you can get this heroine independently of the Battle Pass.
