“Ozark” Season 4: Plot
The official Netflix description of season 4 reads: “Marty and Wendy are off Helen and climb the top of Navarro’s empire. They find another opportunity to leave the Ozarks, but some sins of the past remain unburied and the most dangerous threats.” come from their own family. ”
In season 4, the Byrde family will surely get deeper into it criminal activities entangle. By the end of season 3, Marty and Wendy are so closely intertwined with Navarro that there is likely to be no escape for the entire family.
After the release of season 3, showrunner Chris Mundy revealed opposite the US magazine Entertainment Weekly: “If we are lucky enough to get a fourth season, it will be about whether Ruth can really create something of her own that she wants and that is sustainable, or whether she wants something different. And I think that’s going to be about it go to see whether the Byrdes can turn the greatest mistake of their life into a huge advantage, and how much the karma will catch up with them if they do that. ”
A big question now is whether the family will attend to the Power struggles regarding the drug empire will ultimately collapse. Marty and his wife, Wendy, got closer at the end of Season 3, but their differences of opinion could turn into a real argument about the future of the family. As season 3 showed, both Byrdes have the potential, at some point Head of her own drug operation to become. Can you still manage to come up with a common denominator here?
In addition, the question remains whether the renegade ruthwho turned her back on the family in season 3, will return to the Byrde team in season 4 – or could she become a dangerous opponent? And how does it work Wendy’s brother dies on the family and what’s going on in the coming season?

“Ozark” Season 4: Production and Cast
Showrunner Chris Mundy said in one Interview from 2019 with Hollywood Reporterthat they “always talked about it being five seasons,” but apparently it won’t come to that now. Announced despite change of plan Mundy to Variety magazine
We are very happy to have Netflix […] Ozark more time to properly complete the Byrde saga. It was a great adventure for everyone involved, […] so we are thrilled to have the chance to bring the series to the best possible ending.
Showrunner Chris Mundy in a statement on the 4th season of “Ozark”
Since we had to say goodbye to two crucial characters with Ben and Helen at the end of season 3, actors Tom Pelphrey and Janet McTeer will return at most in the form of flashbacks. In season 4, however, we can look forward to the familiar faces of the Byrde family again.
Jason Bateman as Marty Byrde, Laura Linney as Wendy Byrde, Sofia Hublitz as Charlotte Byrde and Skylar Gaertner as Jonah Byrde will be there. We can also count on Julia Garner as Ruth Langmore, Charlie Tahan as Wyatt Langmore, Lisa Emery as Darlene Snell and Davis and Jessica Frances Dukes as Special Agent Maya Miller. It is very likely that the last season will also see more of Felix Solis than Omar Navarro.
The cast also has two newcomers. With Veronica Falcón (“Queen of the South”) and Grammy Award winner Ali Stroker, season 4 of “Ozark” has a prominent addition.
Falcón takes on the role of sister of Omar Navarro, head of the drug cartel. She quickly becomes a big player in the family business. Stroker plays Charles-Ann, a friend of Ruth’s mother. She steps in when she urgently needs a helping hand.
