At the beginning of the year, Palworld went into early access and the game preview on the Xbox with huge hype – and now the first important new content seems to be approaching with the multiplayer arena.
Palworld initially caused a huge amount of hype with its Pokémon-like figures and achieved an incredible number of players on Steam. At that time, more than two million gamers were playing the title at the same time. The survival game is now a long way from that, but remains popular with almost 100,000 gamers at the same time on Steam.
New content, which was promised on a large scale as part of a roadmap at the beginning of the year, is intended to provide fresh impetus – and now something is happening. A fresh teaser has now been published at The Triple-i Initiative event, in which PocketPair addresses the promised multiplayer arena for the survival title for the first time. This multiplayer battle mode is scheduled to be released later in 2024 for the early access and game preview title and will enable battles between players. Gamers can put together a team of pals with whom they can then compete against other players in a kind of colloseum.
For now, the teaser is really just a very short clip with a running time of around 15 seconds, but it at least offers brief impressions of the players fighting among themselves. However, the PocketPair developers failed to provide concrete details about the multiplayer arena, as well as a more specific release date beyond the general indication of 2024. The first new raid in Palworld since the early access launch was previously released in March.
It can almost be assumed that Palworld’s player numbers will skyrocket again when a major new feature like the multiplayer arena is made available. As soon as there is more news about the Palworld Arena, you will of course find out more about it from us on igamesnews!
