Palworld remains the title of the moment and wants to continue to cause a sensation in the future. As player numbers continue to rise, the now released roadmap for future updates promises raid bosses, Pal PvP, an arena, and more.
Despite all the Pokémon copying allegations, Palworld remains the title of the moment. The game, previously available on PC and Xbox, sold over two million copies in the last 24 hours and has now sold more than 7 million copies in just five days since its release. The record for simultaneously active players on Steam has also been broken again and is loud SteamDB
Meanwhile, developer PocketPair does not want to rest on its laurels and has published a roadmap via social media that presents planned content for future updates to the survival title – and it is certainly impressive.
The focus is currently on fixing critical bugs that have been found, including a problem with the loading screen. This step is currently being prioritized to ensure smooth gaming experience. Some improvements should follow as soon as possible, including optimizations in the configuration of buttons as well as the AI and pathfinding of the Pals.
What gets really exciting is the planned content for future updates. Here the creators promise, among other things, real PvP, a Pal Arena with PvP for Pals, raid bosses as endgame content and more. For example, cross-play between Steam and the Xbox consoles is also firmly planned – this is currently prevented by game versions that do not match.
Incidentally, the Xbox version, which is currently lagging behind, should receive several feature improvements. Other planned innovations include server transfers, optimizations of the building system, new islands, pals, bosses and more. In short: PocketPair is unlikely to get boring with its extensive plans. Considering Palworld’s success so far, you’d probably be happy to take on all this work.
By the way, PocketPair hasn’t really talked about a PS5 version yet, but Sony boss Shuhei Yoshida recently promised in a short statement that he wanted to do everything he could to bring Palworld to the PlayStation 5.
